ABOUT GREG JAMES BLOUNT

After graduating with a film production degree and a fashion photography minor from the University of South Carolina, while still in film school, Greg James Blount started working on films as a PA and then Video Assist, including Days of Thunder with Tom Cruise, Prince of Tides, and Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken.

During college, Greg also modeled and acted and went on to sign with top NYC agencies ZOLI and CESD Talent. He was also represented in Atlanta, Chicago, Milwaukee, Washington, D.C., Greensboro, and Los Angeles.

After moving to NYC in 1993, Greg began working at Peter Glenn Publications. PGP is considered one of the leading entertainment publishing companies for the film, TV, fashion, modeling, and talent industries. They publish the famous International Directory of Model & Talent Agencies, which is used by agencies, clients, photographers, and talent worldwide. After working at the company for four years, Greg purchased it in 1997.

Missing his earlier days from working on productions, Greg moved to Florida and produced the So You Want To Be A Model Contest featured on E! News with Ryan Seacrest & ELLEgirl magazine, and later CosmoGIRL magazine. In 2003, while producing the project, Greg discovered Amber Heard, who has gone on to appear in over forty movies, including Aquaman, which was produced by Greg's old roommate, Deborah Johnson Snyder, and her husband, Zack Snyder (Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Man of Steel, 300). In 2022, Forbes Magazine listed Amber's net worth at over 11 million dollars.

Greg continued to produce while discovering talent. In 2009, as an independent producer, Greg started to explore producing music concerts with several Disney stars, including Mitchel Musso (Disney's Hannah Montana), Ryan Newman (Disney's Zeke & Luther, Sharknado, Nickelodeon's The Thundermans), and several other rising Disney stars.

Greg then created several LA-based talent camps, including Camp Hollywood and the well-known Pilot Camp. Then COVID-19 happened, and we had to convert the program to a virtual LA-agent showcase.  Since March 2020, we have produced fifteen virtual showcases with over an 80% signing ratio to LA agents & managers. From these programs, many talent have gone on to be discovered, including Kira Kosarin (Nickelodeon's The Thundermans), Kayden Muller (Disney’s Meet The Mayhems, Colin O’Brien (WONKA, Dear Edward), Cade Sutton (Disney's Kirby Buckets), Christopher Cassarino (HULU’s Reasonable Doubt, NBC's New Amsterdam), Rachel Finninger (International Model), and Olivia Osteen (niece of Pastor Joel Osteen) to name a few.

Greg is the Director of Talent Development at the Green Room Acting Studio.  Over the last 15 years, Greg has continued to scout and develop thousands of actors and place them with legitimate agencies he works with.

Greg is also an award-winning producer and director best known for Ultimate Invasion, The Coffee Shop, The Audition, and Space Transports. In May 2024, Greg directed his first feature film, The Tan Man. The film has won “Best Trailer” at fourteen IMDb Gold-Level film festivals.

As an actor, Greg is signed with Midwest Talent Management.
